DARVAS CHARTING SOFTWARE
In a nutshell this is a basic end of day stock charting program that was originally designed specifically for use with Momentum Stock Trading System. I used to use Metastock's end of day charting service. It is good, but I found for my style of Stress Free Momentum Trading I didn't need 95% of the tools available on Metastock. I didn't need most of those technical indicators. I didn't need to write programs to run scans. And they introduced a new pricing policy where you had to use data through their sources at $60 per month...that translates to over $720 per annum!
So I contacted a software engineer and explained exactly what I needed in an end of day charting package and what I wanted it to feature. I gave him a copy of my trading system and basically asked him to design an end of day charting software package that would cater for this very "hands off " method of trading Momentum Stocks.
I wanted the charting software to have the ability to draw bar charts of stocks on a daily, weekly and monthly time frame, the feature to change bar colors, and the ability to draw trend-lines and text on the charts.
